SCHOLARSHIp APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITH 2018 REGISTRATIONS STARTING FEBRUARY 1ST.
SCHOLARSHIPS ARE NOW CLOSED
If you would like to make a donation to our scholarship fund, you can do so below. Each donation is greatly appreciated and helps send a child to camp that might not otherwise be able to go. Thank you.
Scholarships are funded in part by two annual donations in loving memory of Mark Maples and Cyr Noah Clack.
Below are 2 Workamper opportunities, spots fill up quickly so be sure to apply as soon as possible.
Please keep in mind that we offer these opportunities for kids who wouldn't normally be able to go on big trips or unschooling events. We offer them based on actual need as the cost comes directly out of pocket for us. By this we don't mean that you can't get one if you have done other big things, just asking that you consider your need when applying.
Scholarships: This is an opportunity for first time campers of all ages (up to 18) which includes the cost of camp and a t-shirt. This is only available for those who wouldn't otherwise be able to come to camp. Scholarship Workampers will get to help out behind the scenes at camp doing simple tasks (serving the meal line, ringing the bell). There will be 4 Scholarships available. Partial Scholarships are available if you have the ability to pay half. This also allows us to offer more assistance to others.
Work Trades: This is an opportunity for returning campers (up to 18) which includes the cost of camp and a t-shirt. This is only available for those who wouldn't otherwise be able to come to camp. Work Trade Workampers will be assigned specific jobs for the week of camp, these may include responsibilities such as dish room and camp maintenance (cleaning). There will be 4 Work Trades available. Partial Work Trades are available if you have the ability to pay half. This also allows us to offer more assistance to others.
Please register first indicating in the Message to Director section that you will be applying for a Scholarship (specify full or partial) and then send in the following:
1. A letter from the camper describing their desire to come to camp, which Workamper opportunity they are applying for, and their willingness to have responsibilities at camp.
2. A letter from the parent/guardian describing their situation.
3. Your letters should state whether or not you will still figure out a way to come to camp if you are not selected or if coming is totally dependent on the Workamper opportunity. Also state if you are interested in a full or partial scholarship.
If you are not chosen and will not be coming, your registration will be cancelled and you will not be responsible for any payments.
